Anxiety

Anxiety

Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or fear about something that might happen. It can make you feel uneasy or tense, often about things you can’t control or aren’t sure about. It’s a natural response to stress, but when it’s too strong or happens too often, it can be overwhelming.

The National Institute of Mental Health describes anxiety as:

“Feeling anxious is a normal part of life. Many people worry about things such as health, money, school, work, or family. But anxiety disorders involve more than occasional worry or fear. For people with these disorders, anxiety does not go away, is felt in many situations, and can get worse over time.”   {Taken from Anxiety Disorders – National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)}
